Olakunle O Akinboboye, MD

Dr. Olakunle Akinboboye is a board-certified Cardiologist with special interest in hypertension, cardiac imaging, congestive heart failure and sleep apnea. He is also board-certified in sleep medicine and runs a sleep lab at his practice. He received his medical degree from the College of Medicine at University of Ibadan, completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease with one year of dedicated training in nuclear cardiology and another year of training in advanced echocardiography at Columbia University.

Dr. Akinboboye also obtained a Master of Public health Degree from the School of Public health at Columbia University in 1998 and received a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Columbia University Business School in 2001.

Dr. Akinboboye served on the teaching faculty of Columbia University from 1995 to 2000. Between 2006 and 2009 he served as Associate Director of the Division of Cardiology and Director of Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac MRI and Cardiac CT at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Queens.
